FAQs

Unlike traditional one-piece suits that require you to pull fabric over your dog’s head and guide their legs through awkward holes, our patented two-piece design allows you to wrap the suit around your pet.

The separate top and bottom pieces connect securely via heavy-duty Velcro. This significantly reduces stress and physical strain on your dog, which is especially critical during the early, tender days of post-op recovery.

This is the standout benefit of the two-piece system! You do not need to remove the entire suit for your dog to toilet.

For quick bathroom trips, you can simply unfasten and remove the bottom piece (the "pants") while keeping the top piece (the "shirt") on.

This ensures that chest or torso incisions remain protected and covered even while your dog is doing their business.

Both the top and bottom pieces feature built-in internal pockets designed to enhance the healing process:

  • For Swelling: You can insert a flexible ice pack into the pouch to provide targeted cold therapy to the incision site, helping to reduce inflammation and pain.
  • For Drainage: If the wound is still weeping or has a drain, the pouch can hold absorbent gauze pads, keeping the mess contained and the rest of the suit clean.
(Note: Ice packs and pads are sold separately.)

Yes! The suit is highly versatile. If your dog only has a chest or shoulder incision, they can wear just the top piece as a protective shirt. Conversely, if the injury is limited to the rear or hip area, the pieces can be used together or adjusted to suit the specific needs of the recovery. However, most owners find that wearing both pieces provides the most secure fit to prevent the suit from shifting.

Absolutely. The suit is made from a medical-grade blend of 95% cotton and 5% Lycra.

This 4-way stretch fabric is highly breathable, allowing air to circulate around the wound to promote faster healing while preventing "hot spots."

It is also machine washable; we recommend hanging it to dry to maintain the integrity of the Velcro and the stretch of the fabric.
